Let's start at the beginning. As soon as your baby is born, you'll dress him or her in their ‘first outfit’. Of course, it has to be a beautiful outfit but there are a few other things you need to consider. Babies are not very good at regulating their own body temperature straight after birth. So make sure that their first outfit is warm enough and includes: a soft romper-suit (with long or short sleeves), a long-sleeve top, a cardigan, trousers, socks and a hat . Would you prefer a one-piece outfit? Then go for a romper-suit with long sleeves instead of the long-sleeve top.

You must also consider the quality of the fabric, its softness and the material. Select a fine knitted fabric, soft cotton/jersey or a blend of wool and cotton. Then you'll be fine. In terms of size, we would usually advise size 50 but this does depend on the size of your newborn.
